Yesterday, there were a couple of stocks that enjoyed strong sessions that illustrate all that is right with free markets and all that is wrong with meddling by government with endless amounts of taxpayer funds. Bloomin Brands (BLMN) finished the session +12.8% while A123 (AONE) climbed 6.4%. That’s where the similarities end. One company is a shining example of how private equity can rescue a company. The other on how government can not only waste money, but make so many mistakes important patents and secrets are essentially given away.
