Despite the name, WestSummit Capital has had some decidedly eastern support in the past, managing one of the only captive funds backed entirely by China Investment Corp. But the firm is looking for some additional limited partners as it aims to raise $400 million for its second fund, which has already received an anchor investment from CIC, LBO Wire’s Jonathan Shieber reports exclusively.
The firm focuses on investments in areas including consumer technologies and new media, mobile hardware and software, enterprise software and services, and clean technology.
