Uniphore Software Systems, incubated at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, is in talks with venture capitalists to help expand operations. 

 The four-year-old company partners with Nasdaq-listed Nuance Communications to offer voice biometrics that enable the authentication of identity, and is aimed at helping those who aren’t able to carry out financial transactions safely due to a lack of literacy. 

The technology fits in with India’s bid to widen financial inclusion, or access to banking facilities, across all sections of the people.
