Private equity firm doubles money by selling stake in Hulu

The private equity firm confirmed the move in a statement following media reports in the last two weeks that the sale would take place. Providence sold its stake for around $200m, doubling its initial investment. Providence's exit leaves Hulu in the hands of Disney, News Corp and Comcast's NBC Universal.
