SPOTLIGHT SHINING ON @BetTzedek

BetTzedek
Equal Justice for All

GIVE

Equal Justice for All

We have a calling. It’s not just a purpose—certainly not just a job. It’s a passion. You could say it began thousands of years ago in the words of a core principle of Jewish law:

Tzedek, tzedek tirdof.

It means “Justice, justice you shall pursue.” You’ll find it written in Deuteronomy 16:20.

We take it to mean that our duty in life is to relentlessly pursue justice. Real justice. Equal justice. And for the poor, the disadvantaged, the sick and the elderly, justice is far too often something that doesn’t belong to them. It’s just a word on a page somewhere. So Bet Tzedek, the House of Justice, steps in to give them an equal voice, a fair shot.

Free Legal Services

So far we’ve helped over 100,000 families overcome abuse, neglect and exploitation. For free. But we are just getting started. Our goal is to stand on the platform of our democracy and our laws to be a driving force of change in the way we all treat our fellow citizens. We do it every day, for one person at a time.

Empowering the Powerless

Take a moment to learn a little about our people, our story, and how untold numbers have joined this cause. More and more in our community are working together to bring equal justice to everyone, especially those who have been denied their most basic human rights.
