One of Providence Equity Partners’ portfolio companies is getting a celebrity athlete boost.
World Triathlon Corp., the owner and organizer of Ironman races backed by Providence Equity, is partnering with the Lance Armstrong Foundation to raise more than $1 million for people affected by cancer. Armstrong will compete in several Ironman races this year in Texas, Florida, France, as well as the ultimate world championship race in Hawaii.
