BATS has provided an update to the issues on its exchange with several symbols: In short, blame the IPO.

Associated Press The company said that at 10:45 a.m. ET on the BATS BZX Exchange a “single matching engine”–essentially a computer–that handles all the trading in stock symbols started with the letter “A” through “BF,” suffered a glitch.
The bug was related to the IPO auctions–BATS’s ticker, BATS, would have been going through that one system.
