Sunshot Awards $2.6 Billion to Fund New Solar Technology Research at SLAC Laboratories

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, one of the ten Department of Energy's Office of Science laboratories, has received $2.6 Billion funding from the Sunshot Initiative. The grant is meant to provide funds for three research projects looking to develop cheaper materials as well as technologies for manufacturing solar panels. SLAC laboratory is operated by Stanford University.
