Shasha Dai reports exclusively for LBO Wire that Riverside Co. is in talks with fellow aquatically named firm Windjammer Capital Investors to sell Global Claims Services, an insurance claims settlement company. Global Claims, founded in 1993, initially tested damaged floors for insurance claim processing purposes, examining carpet samples in an in-house laboratory, which we like to imagine was just one guy in a lab coat lighting Berber swatches on fire. 

No word on whether this carpet laboratory was ever outsourced for Bounty scientists looking to test how much grape juice their paper towels could pick up, but it’s that kind of corporate synergy opportunity that Windjammer is probably interested in.
