Is Best Buy a private equity play?

With Best Buy chief executive Brian Dunn unexpectedly stepping down, Citigroup analyst Kate McShane suggested in a note on Tuesday that the ailing retailer could be ripe for a buyout. Beyond the prying eyes of public shareholders, she said the company would have “more flexibility with closing doors and radically changing the strategy.”
