Koenraad Foulon is a Private Equity Senior Managing Partner and a Director and Senior Vice President of Capital International. As a co-founder of the CIPEF program, he has served as the Chairman of the Investment Committee for each of the five prior CIPEF funds. Prior to joining Capital International in 1990, Mr. Foulon was managing director of Shearson Lehman Global Asset Management – Posthorn Global Asset Management in London, where he spent six years. He also spent three years as a banker at Morgan Guaranty Trust Company in Brussels and New York and five years as a portfolio manager with Banque DeGroof in Brussels. Mr. Foulon earned a distinction in economics from the University of Louvain, Belgium. He is based in London.

Lam Nguyen-Phuong is a Private Equity Senior Managing Partner and the Research Investment Director of the CIPEF program. He is also a Director and Senior Vice President of Capital International. As a co-founder of the CIPEF program, he has served as the Vice Chairman of the Investment Committee for each of the five prior CIPEF funds. Prior to joining Capital International in 1992, Mr. Nguyen-Phuong was a director of Ermgassen & Co. Ltd., a London-based mergers and acquisitions advisory firm which he had co-founded in 1988. Before that, he was with JP Morgan & Co for ten years, where he worked in New York, Brussels and London, primarily in Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions. He also spent two years as a commercial banker covering Latin America for RepublicBank Dallas. In addition, he has held part-time teaching positions in finance or investment management at Pace University in New York, The University of Texas at Dallas, and Boston University-Brussels. Mr. Nguyen-Phuong earned a Diplôme d'Ingénieur from the École Centrale (Paris, France), and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is based in Singapore.

Ashley Dunster is a Private Equity Managing Partner with primary responsibility in Emerging Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In 2006, he became a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining the CIPEF team in 1997, he spent four years at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, where he was a principal banker in the Early Stage Equity Team with private equity responsibilities covering Russia, Kazakhstan, Hungary and Slovenia. Before that, Mr. Dunster was an associate consultant at The L|E|K Partnership, an international strategy consulting firm; during his four years at L|E|K, he worked on mergers and acquisitions transactions, corporate strategy, and privatization and restructuring mandates in Poland. Mr. Dunster received a BE in civil engineering from the University of Melbourne, and a Masters degree in mathematics from Oxford University. He is based in London.

Leonard L. Kim is a Private Equity Managing Partner with primary responsibility in Asia. In 2010, he became a member of the Private Equity Investment Committee. Prior to joining the CIPEF team in 1997, he was a director of Peregrine Capital Limited, the corporate finance/investment banking arm of the Peregrine Group, and co-head of their multinational group, where he was responsible for the coordination and execution of corporate finance transactions in Asia for the firm's North American, European, and Japanese multinational clients. While at Peregrine, Mr. Kim advised numerous multinational and Asian companies on private equity fundraising, acquisitions, restructuring, and Asian expansion strategies. Prior to joining Peregrine in 1992, he was a founding member of Kimbaco Limited, a Korean-owned and focused cross-border advisory and direct investment firm. Prior to this, he was an investment banker with The First Boston Corporation in New York. He holds a BS degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University and is based in Singapore.

William Bannister-Parker is a Private Equity Managing Partner responsible for global operations. Prior to Nomura, Mr. McGuigan was an investment banker on Asian related investments including work as a Managing Director of Peregrine Capital (USA), Inc. where he handled cross-border M&A and direct investment transactions in various Asian countries. Mr. McGuigan began his career in as counsel to the International Division of Getty Oil Company. Mr. McGuigan received a JD from the University of Oregon School of Law and a BS in finance from the University of Oregon. He is based in San Francisco.

Nick Chen is a Private Equity Partner with primary responsibility in Asia. Prior to joining the CIPEF team in 2005, Mr. Chen spent six years with JPMorgan Investment Banking in New York and Hong Kong, latterly as a Vice President of the Asia Pacific Mergers and Acquisitions Group. While at JPMorgan, he advised on numerous multinational and regional corporate clients on cross-border M&A transactions, most of which are China-related. He also had experience in equity and debt capital market financing. Before joining JPMorgan, he spent two years with Towers Perrin in the U.S. as a management consultant. Mr. Chen received his BA (summa cum laude) in economics from Franklin and Marshall College. He is based in Hong Kong.

Martin E. Diaz Plata is a Private Equity Partner with primary responsibility in Latin America.
