The Economic Development Investment Fund (EDIF) was created in the fall of 2008 as an independent 501 (c) (3) organization. We are a non-profit lender established to serve hardworking business owners with access to capital.

EDIF offers loans to start, grow or improve your business;
EDIF is a Strategic Alliance Partner of the Small Business Administration (SBA) and can provide you with technical assistance for SBA Loan Guarantees;
EDIF is a City/State Partner of the Export-Import Bank of the United States and offers funding, insurance and guidance for your export projects;
We recognize that job creation and economic recovery are important issues we need to work on as a nation. Put people back to work, support companies expand and help entrepreneurs look for markets overseas are primary goals for our organization.
We firmly believe that small businesses play a critical role in straitening the economy and helping our country compete in today’s global marketplace.

Elena manages organization’s daily operations, marketing campaigns, media relations, events and seminars. Career Chronology Prior to joining the EDIF, Ms. Elena Krapcheva was in charge of Investor Relations and Fundraising for a Hedge Fund in Singapore and an Investment Bank in Thailand. Elena has lived and worked on 4 different continents, developing relationships with institutional investors around the globe. Elena has also worked as Public Relations Manager in the entertainment industry in Australia and has experience in event management in Paris, France. Elena assists the EDIF with daily operations, marketing campaigns and media relations. Ms. Krapcheva is coordinating all training events and seminars the organization offers as part of its SBA technical assistance to small businesses. Personal Ms. Krapcheva was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. She holds a double Bachelor in Foreign Affairs & Diplomacy as well as in International Trade from the Institute of International Relations in Paris. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in International Politics from the University of Queensland, Australia. Elena is Fluent in French & Bulgarian and understands well Russian, Macedonian and German. Elena is passionate about social entrepreneurship and alleviating poverty and hunger in underdeveloped countries through small business lending. She is also a trained conflict mediator. Professional Affiliations Elena is part of various social networks and non-profit organizations in Asia. Elena sits on the Board of Directors of Colosseum II, a private travel agency and boutique resort on the Black Sea in Bulgaria. Elena is a member of the Board of Directors for Rubicon Transport Express, a transport broker, specializing in land & sea cargos between Europe and the Middle East. Elena is a member of the International Advisory Board of Voices of Women Worldwide (VWW). Elena holds a student pilot license and is a member of the Johor flying club in Malaysia. |
